Is Reverse Osmosis popular to use in water treatment plants?

Reverse Osmosis is one of the many options used in the treatment of wastewater and treatment plants. Reverse osmosis is becoming increasingly popular as it can eradicate 99% of bacteria. Reverse Osmosis works by removing impurities from contaminated water. It removes many types of molecules and ions from solutions including bacteria.  After the water is treated it can be reused in production or be disposed of safely.   Why is it an   eco-friendly solution for Industrial wastewater?     Traditional methods of water treatment require chemicals which pose more risk to the environment. Holding chemicals on-site, transporting and management are all health and safety hazards. Modern Reverse Osmosis systems do not require any chemicals. It uses mainly electricity and high-pressure water.
