If the levels of aluminium sulfate are above the recommended one, then it will become a health hazard which can cause damage to the environment. Sodium Aluminate


The next chemical used in wastewater treatment plants in India is sodium aluminate. Sodium aluminate is a chemical that belongs to the inorganic compound. The liquid form of sodium aluminate works well as a phosphorus remover. Wastewater contains a lot of phosphorus which is hard on the environment. To avoid that, sodium aluminate functions to elevate the pH level of wastewater with extremely low pH.

Polymer  


Polymer is a chemical that is known to have many functions in the industry, especially those related to plastic. It has its benefits as a chemical in wastewater treatment. The function of polymer is to harden any solid dirt and dissolve in diluted water to free these materials in suspension.


In order to use polymer in wastewater treatment, people need to dilute polymer with water with a concentration of 0.5 per cent. By using polymer, any waste that has the potential to block water will have better treatment and the wastewater will be cleaner than before.

 

Sodium Hydroxide


Another chemical that works in the wastewater treatment plant is sodium hydroxide. Sodium hydroxide belongs to an inorganic compound that has the symbol NaOH. In wastewater treatment plants, sodium hydroxide has many functions such as pH stabilizer, metal precipitant, and alkaline cleaner.


The combination of sodium, hydrogen, and dioxide makes this chemical work well for wastewater treatment, especially for removing harmful waste and pollutants. By using sodium hydroxide, more safe wastewater is possible.


Ferric Chloride


A chemical that is frequently used in wastewater treatment plants is ferric chloride. Ferric chloride is a corrosive chemical used for purification and sewage treatment. The main function of ferric chloride is to remove metal substances from the waste which are highly harmful to the environment and living beings.
